Chill - by Rand

I remain cool
about the heat
but I'm not so hot
about this chill

  1. Chill

    The chilly glares

    The icy stares

The feeling of being surrounded by bears

    Horns blaring

    Insults flying

    Trying, trying

    Avoiding the eyes

    Of people nearby

    As you learn

    How to drive

  2. Fighting for so long
    To find the sun,
    To find the warmth
    Of a heart undivided,
    You almost don't realize
    That you stopped feeling
The chill a long time ago.

  3. Insect,
You have been a source of fascination since I was a child.
I followed you through tall grass and treetops trying to understand your ways.
My friends grew older and became more disgusted with you as I became all the more curious.
Beautiful in your simplicity and sophisticated in your diversity, the future belongs to your kind, not mine.
    Good luck with that.
